We are known as the
industry experts in appraising high technology, medical and scientific equipment.
Our appraisals can consist of a single product, medical practices of all
sizes, imaging or surgery centers or entire hospitals.
Two factors which make
our appraisals so useful are our familiarity with the industry and its technology,
and our research. Many industries have published pricing guides produced
from dealer sales reports and public auction data. The medical equipment
field has no such guides or public disclosure of sales data. We must rely
on our extensive database of prior transactions and new research performance
for every assignment.
Medical equipment
appraisals may be needed for following purposes:
- Purchase:
For a budget-constrained organization, the cost of medical equipment is
always a considerable line item. Thus when you are buying medical equipment,
you should know its value in advance. We can provide it for you.
- Sale:
It is important to receive a reasonable value for your used equipment.
Medical equipment varies greatly in age, condition and configuration.
Our appraisal will assure that you will receive a representative value.
- Insurance Replacement
Cost: Our insurance appraisals are very helpful when natural disasters
cause loss or damage of equipment. Insurance companies do not always quote
the full and proper cost of replacement. We can provide independent and
objective appraisals for problem areas.
- Donation:
Donors are entitled to receive tax relief for equipment donations to non-profit
organizations. Our appraisals show the value of the donated equipment
at the time of bequest. Our service includes completion of the
appraisers portion of IRS
Form 8283.
- End-of-Lease Value:
Hospitals and other healthcare organizations occasionally buy equipment
at the end of the lease term. The medical equipment on lease is usually
several years old and carries a decreased fair market value. We can provide
such values for both current and future fair market/liquidation value
buyouts.
